A typical hive has three types of bees: the queen, the workers, and the drones. The queen is responsible for laying eggs, the workers do most of the tasks, including foraging and caring for the brood, while drones are the male bees whose primary role is mating with the queen. Each type of bee has a specific function that is essential for the hive’s survival.
